Novalja is a well known resort and touristic center of the Island of Pag. Ideally situated on the sea and landways from the kvarner to Dalmatia.

Nowadays in the area of the city of Novalja, on an area of 93,36 km2 lives aprox. 3500 inhabitants, so that also out of the summer month, most of the gastronomy facilities, shops, the ambulance and other services are working.

During the summer the number of inhabitants is increasing, thanks to the developed touristic activity that is followed by re-openings of many season facilities.

Novalja is well known for its beautiful beaches in its direct surroundings - Zrće, Caska, Straško, Babe, Trinćel i Braničevica. The most beautiful and atractive novalian beach is Zrće.

The beach Zrće satisfies with its extraordinary natural caracteristics the strict criteria of the European Foundation of Environment Protection so it has got the blue flag since 2003. The beach is aprox. 2 km away from Novalja.

There is a great offer of sports and entertainment activities as well as a good gastronomic offer. Some of the venues are offering entertainment the whole night.
