About the Island of Pag

The Island of Pag is one of the biggest croatian islands. Thanks to the 270 km long coast, it is the island with the longest coastline. It is situated in the northern Adriatic sea. The rocky surface reminds of the surface of the moon. On the island predominate low aromatic herbs like sage and immortelle. Exactly these aromatic herbs are giving the flavor to the famous chease of the Island of Pag.

The island is connected thru a bridge and ferry lines with the mainland. Besides its salt pans, the island is also famous for its chease, lace, white wine called "Paška Žutica" and its national costume.
